A HAND-COLORED WORLD
19th-Century Photographs from
the Léon & Lévy Studio

At the end of the 19th century, operators from the Léon & Lévy studio traveled the world equipped with stereoscopic cameras. Back in Paris, colorists applied tints to the photographic plates, adding colors that the photographers had been unable to capture. The Roger-Viollet gallery is presenting for the first time a collection of 67 contemporary prints from these stereoscopic glass plates.

The Roger-Viollet Gallery welcomes you from Tuesday to Saturday
from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Free admission.

6 rue de Seine 75006 Paris
