Ernest & Henri Roger
Brothers, Inventors, Photographers

Gallery Roger-Viollet presents the images by Henri Roger (1869-1946) and his elder brother Ernest (1864-1943), two brilliant minds who left their mark on both science and photography.
Both document their scientific experiments, as well as their bourgeois family life at the crossroads of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Henri excelled in photographic trickery, producing images in which he and his brother appeared in multiple copies, creating surreal, poetic sketches.
Henri was also the father of Hélène Roger-Viollet, founder of the eponymous photographic agency in 1938.

The Roger-Viollet Gallery welcomes you from Tuesday to Saturday
from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Free admission.

6 rue de Seine 75006 Paris
