The collaboration between the collage street artist 13 bis and the Galerie Roger-Viollet started when 13 bis asked the Gallery to provide him some images for his creations.Out of a liking for 13 bis' work and a desire to show his collections in a different way, the Roger-Viollet Gallery then proposed a collaboration by giving him carte blanche to dive into his millions of photographs, using them freely to create collages with surrealist accents that are his own. Seemingly disparate motifs meet and assemble to create frescoes and paintings of the marvelous and unprecedented projections of his imagination. If his artistic territory is more often the street, where he can anonymously offer his ephemeral works for all to see, 13 bis does not shy away from opportunities to exhibit his work.
